A Young Woman After God's Own Heart "Chapter 1" "A Heart Devoted to God"

In Chapter 1 of "a young woman after God's own heart". Elizabeth George the author gives us a few tips and advice on to how become closer and be more devoted to God in our everyday life, there is also a story in chapter 1 that talks about two ladies in the bible mary and martha. Both of these ladies loved God, but it was about the ways that they served God, you see Martha loved God and served him in every way she could or thought, but whereas Mary was a servant of God aswell but she also took the time to stop all that she was doing, even serving him, sat at at his feet, worshipped him and took the time to enjoy him aswell. Jesus looked at her ways thought it was good and rewared her. This story spoke to me, you see it's not all about just serving God and Jesus, you can also take the time out of your day to just worship and enjoy him. There is also a poem in chapter 1 of this book that says

Good, better, best,
never let it rest,
until your good is better,
and your better is best.

What this poem is saying is that when you confront everyday situations we should say this and God will help and give us advice if we try.

Lastly in this chapter the author gives us advice on how to develop a heart devoted to God everyday, there are three ways on how to do this, number 1: Pray everyday before u get up out of your bed, during the day and at night. Number 2: Read at least 1 chapter of your bible Morning, during the day and at night. & Number 3: Just stop and enjoy God for who he is.

This chapter is very inspirational, everyday from now I am going to grow closer to God and be more devoted to him every minute of the day all day. And lastly from now and on I will at times sit back, worship and enjoy God and Jesus for who they are and be thankful that I have them and for all they have done for me.

Honour's reward by John Bevere chapter 3 A full reward

Out of this chapter I got a real revelation. I found that honour rewards don't come unless you have faith in God or in whatever you are doing. There are a few people in the bible that spoke to me in this chapter about having faith, like the woman who had a daughter with a demon inside her. When God said go away and called her a dog, she stood there and said that even the little dogs get the crumbs from under the table. Jesus was amazed with this so he rewarded her and healed her daughter, it was because of her faith that she recieved the full reward. Another one that spoke to me was a Roman officer, when his servent was paralyzed the Roman officer asked Jesus to heal his servant. Jesus answered yes I will come into your house and I will heal your servernt. The Roman officer said to Jesus I am not worthy enough for a person like you to come into my house. Jesus was astonished and at that second the Servent was healed. The man was amazed. It was because of this officer's faith that he recieved this reward.

What John is trying to say, is that no matter what we do to honour people we need to have faith in what we do to honour them. Otherwise we will not recieve a full reward.

Honor's reward chapter 2 review

Chapter 2 of honor's reward talks about partial or no rewards. A lot of people in the bible were used as examples in this chapter. People like Jesus' family will only recieve a partial reward because they had doubts in him, most of them thought that he was just an ordinary boy and man. But people like preachers and teachers that told and talked about the word of God had a lot of doubts in Jesus and they didn't recieve any reward. The reason why they didn't recieve any reward is not because they doubted in Jesus but because they had the thoughts in their minds. They did not express their feelings or thoughts to Jesus otherwise Jesus would have explained it again and given them more understanding so they would recieve a reward. What John Bevere is trying to get to us is that what we do, think or say has an impact on what and how we recieve our reward. This is my review on chapter 2 Honor's reward by John Bevere.

honor's reward by John Bevereve chapter 1

Hello to whoever will read this blog. Chapter 1 of this book is an introduction that is great beyond all words. The inspiration that John gives in this first chapter is amazing. The first thing I found rewarding is that God is waiting to reward us. But we will only recieve this reward if we have earnt it. Most of the time we take honoring as just an extinct virtue, which is not true in God's eyes. God sees honoring as the number one thing we need to do to reap a good harvest. Like John says in the bible :Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things we worked for, but that we may recieve a full reward.

King Rehoboam lost his reward and did not recieve it because he did not listen to God or his people but turned to his peers for the wrong advice on the beating of his people or not.

I will stop here, and ask my dear cousin when to start reading the second chapeter. In chapter two we will read wheather we have earnt a partial or no reward.
