Wow who doesn't love this girl? her books and her music is just so inspirational. In this blog I am going to talk to you about my lastest book that I have called "wait for me".
This book gives us understanding of why waiting for sex for marriage is the right and best thing we can do and ways that we can enjoy that waiting time. Even though our minds are being bombarded with real negative thoughts.
Chapter 1: Dream Again Recovering The Dream of True Romance
Who doesn't want a nice hansome guy riding on a white horse coming to our rescue? I sure do!! :) I got a ring for my birthday that signify's my purity for my husband the one I am waiting for. When comes to our minds being bombarded with so many sexual thoughts all because this culture today is encouraging our teens to think these thoughts, but for many of us who are reading this book are christians and we know what to do with these thoughts as soon as they hit our minds.
Rebecca says in this chapter that there is a reset button that we can push to refresh our minds all we have to do is just go to God and ask for forgivness and he will hit the reset button.
The man that we are waiting for is in our father God's hands, God knows the perfect timing and place where he will bring our future husband to us. All we have have to do is wait patiently while he reveals this man to us bit by bit.
Chapter 2: Mind Matters Guarding Your Thoughts To Make Wise Decisions
This book just gets better and better, God says that we need to guard our heart and mind through christ, God is watching every move we make, Rebecca explains in this chapter that we not only need to guard our body but our heart and MIND aswell, as this is where satan comes to attack us the most.
Pornography is a BIG thing in our culture today, alot of teenagers are drawn to this kind of sexual sin all it is only a click away on a mouse of a computer.
We need to have self-control and ask God to help us turn our eyes away from such lustful desires. Because one thing leads to another.
We need to avoid this tempation by turning of the TV and computer if we know that it is going to lead us to a bad descision.
The culture we live in today is high on the way we dress alot of models wear skimpy T-shirts and way too short skirts. We need to stand strong because we are christians and show others that dressing sinfully and skimpy only leads boys to sexual desires.

Bill Hybels: Just a Walk across the room (Simple steps to pointing people to faith)
I will start with an opening statement to this book.
Bill Hybel's books are amazing to comprehend. The one i am reading at the moment is a book that gives insightful and easy tips on how to lead people to christ. What if redirecting a person's forever really is as simple as walking across the room?
When i attend the empowering conference tomorrow the conference is about leadership and tips and stratages on how to come up with fun groups in your own school I want to be the leader of this group that I'm thinking about and I want to see people lead to christ if I step outside my circle of comfort and walk a simple step across the room I could change someones forever.
Please pray that God will guide me into this group I am doing and will give me the strength to do what I need to do.

Commitment to Conquer: Chapter1: Hemet Calls
Chapter 1 was a bit scary I thought at first but when I contiued reading it turned out to be good. Chapter 1 is about a guy Called Bob Beckett he is called to a job at a juvenille dentention in Hemet when he gets there he discovers a mountain called San Jacinto Mountains and in it is the devil they call him Tahquitz they believe and think of him as the evil one.
Bob continues to look further into this mountain and is called to a meeting with Peter Wagner and he shows him a map that he has been keeping track of and thinks where all these things that are bad having being happening one by one he marks a red dot where he wants to find out more and wants to change. Peter the proffessor says that this is great and believes that Bob will do amazing things in this city with God's help.
Bob grabbed a few men that were christians and they went on a journey up to the mountain in san Jancinto to pray and fast, when it was late at night they all woke from a deep sleep of quacking through their cabins, they believed it what the evil spirit trying to stop them from overcoming him and seeing good things happen for the glory of God, so they got up immediately and began to pray and praised God they got louder and louder and the shaking became more intense but they continued to pray and it eventually settled down and they felt the presense of God.
When they returned they wondered and they continued to pray, eventually Bob opened up a church in San Jacinto Mountains. they continued praying and they opened up a prayer group in the church where everyone could attend, about 100 people attended. They continued for 5 years they saw changes and miracles in the church but the community remained as it was. They still don't know why this is but they will continue praying and seeking God no what the circumstance. Yes it will be challenging but God will be with us all, all the way through.
We will see what God is going to do in that community in chapter 2 and how we can gain the power to do the same in our community as well.

A Young Woman After God's Own Heart: Review
This book is about being and becoming the young woman God created us girls to be. Elizabeth Gorge gives some examples of how we can search for God in order to find out what we were created to be. Elizabeth is a great author she is very insightful. I believe that as I read this book God is going to talk to me and show me what my destiny and future yet to be is and show what I am going to for and to him.

Chapter 10: Generation rising creating a counterculture from scratch (and a dash of salt)
An amazing teenage boy stood out to me in this chapter his name is Corner Cress. Corner was reading a World Vision magazine when he came across it he realised that the magazine was about poor children suffering and in pain because of starvation and hunger corner continued reading and it really spoke to him. He started to realise how easy his life was when he looked at the poor children. Corner realised that something ewas not right and he had to do something about it doesn't exactly say in this chapter what he did but when he posted that story it was two years ago when he did it so he must be doing something amazing for the glory of God by helping these poor children.
We all can be salt and light to this world we need to look deep within ourselves and realise that we are bigger than what we think we need to pray and ask God what we can do to help this world and the people in it.
A HOLY AMBITION. Wow I can't wait to find mine what this part is about well as a child we play with dolls and toy trucks but as we grow and become adults we begin to turns those small things into big things like girls becoming nurses and midwives and delivering babies and caring for real ones, boys will build building with tractors and big trucks that are real. Things like these we need to take a hold of and realise that as we grow and become adults we need to let go our childish behaviour and start looking beyond dolls and toy trucks and look and pray for our holy ambition to come. So what is your HOLY AMBITION?
We all can be salt and light to this world we need to look deep within ourselves and realise that we are bigger than what we think we need to pray and ask God what we can do to help this world and the people in it.

Chapter: Taking A stand
This chapter is real it gave me a sense that I need to take a stand and not care about what everyone else thinks, if I am christian which I am nothing Is going to stop me and I am going to live it for the rest of my life even if I have to go against the crowd and everything makes fun of me. If I keep sticking with God he will help all the way no matter what the circumstance.
What defines me at the moment I feel like I am a liar most of the time this is why some people can't trust me, but once I start doing hard things that issue is going to change, I know another thing that defines I am a real christian everyone at school calls me a God freak, I really love being known by this but in some ways I do lose some opputunities like not being invited to parties not being able to hang out with cool crowds but I don't really care because I know in long run it really is going benifit me going against the crowd and sticking to what I know is right and taking a stand.
